On October 26, 2008 MileOne Automotive will make strides against breast cancer, joining the fight for the 8th year in a row as a Flagship Sponsor. This year’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer will be at The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg YMCA at Stadium Place in downtown Baltimore.
In 2007, nearly 500,000 walkers in 130 communities across the country joined the American Cancer Society in the united fight against breast cancer. Together, more than $50 million was raised through The Making Strides events, done one donation at a time. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is more than just a walk it describes the amazing progress made by individuals to defeat this disease. Each year, MileOne Automotive is a flagship sponsor for The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk, which means we provide additional monetary support and guarantee at least 100 walkers. In order to meet the goals set forth by the American Cancer Society and our own company, we rely heavily on our internal leaders. This year we have 15 Captains from our 25 different Baltimore/Washington dealership locations who have dedicated their time to helping MileOne reach a fundraising goal.
